Phoenix Group Food
Food production is at the heart of the Phoenix Group and the origins of its cyclical model of sustainability come from the group’s drive to create an internal and sustainable green energy source for growing and distributing food.
The Phoenix system powers two main types of food production:
Root and Leaf Vegetables: supplying mainstream markets
Sherwood Produce is a group of eight East Midlands based farmers and growers that farm almost 7,000 hectares in and around Sherwood Forest – they are also some of the founder members of the Phoenix Group.
The group grows both conventional and organic crops of root and leaf vegetables for a full range of UK-wide distributors including multiple retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers and food service businesses. The members operate cohesively through centralised crop planning, agronomy, harvesting, packing, marketing and distribution and share a group ethos to sensitively combine modern food production with environmental protection, both at a local and global scale.

Rapeseed Oil

The Phoenix Group is the exclusive supplier of high-grade rapeseed oil to celebrity chef Rachel Green. Rachel grew up on a 14th-generation arable farm in Lincolnshire and has built her career around championing excellence in food and farming. The partnership with Phoenix was formed when Rachel learnt about their green model of sustainable food production.
Animal Feed

The rapemeal co-product is used as animal feed for cows, pigs and poultry.
